CARDIOLATES BOOT CAMP
What is Cardiolates Boot Camp?
CARDIOLATES BOOT CAMP combines the alignment principles of Pilates using Mat and a big variety of Small Equipment combined with a cardio element. No class is ever the same!
What type of equipment is used in a Cardiolates Boot Camp class?
In order to bring in that cardio element, we use props like: Rebounding (Trampolines); Aerobic Steppers; Skipping Ropes; TRX; Kettlebells; Ballet Barre and Weights (using these props at a higher pace of course to elevate the heart rate); Air cushions & Bosus, which combines the unstable element with a cardio element.
Why Cardiolates Boot Camp classes?
Because a lot of the above props (equipment) mentioned above involves an unstable surface – like a buoyant mat –CARDIOLATES BOOT CAMP requires dynamic stability. This naturally strengthens the core and trains the nervous system and postural muscles to support the body in upright posture. Other benefits include increased agility, coordination, balance and proprioception.
Aerobic Pilates challenges the core, elevates the heart rate and trains coordination. Other benefits include burning more calories, working the core in a different setting, and strengthening your muscles. In our practice, we experience great results by adding the cardio section for stress reduction and endurance training, since many of our clients simply do not enjoy the treadmill or other generic aerobic and gym equipment.
What are the benefits?
Because unstable surfaces cause involuntary muscles such as the transverses abdominus and the multifidus (deep stabilizers) to contract, rebounding seemed the perfect aerobic complement to a Pilates program. Since these exercises integrates rebounding with alignment principles, one can burn fat while improving alignment and posture. Thus, CARDIOLATES BOOT CAMP is an efficient and effective solution.
Trampolines (rebounding) and other unstable surfaces used in conjunction with your Pilates Mat & Small Equipment exercises, provides a perfect combination of body-sculpting, weight–loss and cardiovascular benefits. Props which create an unstable surface is alternated with Pilates Mat exercises and a cardio element as well as intensive core toning.
There is also much less stress on the joints by combining the use of unstable surfaces with a cardio element, so it is a WIN, WIN, WIN situation.
If you want to lose weight whilst toning intensively, this is the ideal class for you!
