What Is Cardiolates Boot Camp?

Just what is a Cardiolates Boot Camp workout?

Cardiolates Boot Camp workouts can vary. They generally include a fairly intense mix of pilates, aerobics, strength training and speed elements in a class session.

What are the benefits of a Cardiolates Boot Camp workout?

The goal of a fitness cardiolates boot camp is to provide a whole-body workout that builds strength and endurance, using unstable surfaces to cause involuntary muscles like the transversus abdominus and the multifidus which are some of your deep stabilizer muscles to strengthen. Cardiolates Boot Camp workouts also attract many people because they:

  • Offer a more challenging and varied workout
  • Use rebounding (unstable surfaces) with alignment principles
  • Includes cardio to burn fat whilst improving balance, alignment and posture
  • Offers cardio without the stress on the joints
  • Creates the perfect combination of body-sculpting, weight-loss and cardiovascular benefits, with strong core toning as a result of the unstable surfaces used
  • Create a sense of camaraderie among the participants

What equipment is used in a Cardiolates Boot Camp workout?

We use props/equipment like: Rebounding (Trampolines); Arobic Steppers; Skipping Ropes; TRX; Kettlebells; Ballet Barre and Weights (using these props at a higher pace to elevate heart rate); Air cushions and Bosus – thereby combining the unstable element with cardio.

Is a Cardiolates Boot Camp workout for everybody?

Cardiolates often appeal to people looking for a more intense workout with the cardio element to improve fitness

If you have a strong foundation of strength and aerobic training, you're probably ready for our Cardiolates boot camp. Before you sign up, though, ask how the program is structured and if there are any prerequisites to assess whether it will be a good fit for you.

If you are older than age 40, are pregnant, haven't exercised for some time or have certain health conditions, it's a good idea to check with your doctor before starting a boot camp class or any new exercise program.

It's also important to let your instructor know if you have health issues or special needs. Also tell the instructor if you have difficulty with specific exercises. If the movements in the class are new to you, take it slower at first to ensure that the way you are moving is correct. Stop if you get fatigued or tired to the point where your technique breaks down. At Pilates Dynamics we have skilled instructors that are attentive to proper form and technique and can adapt exercises for you.

Why do Cardiolates Boot Camp supreme at Pilates Dynamics?
